A student records the repair cost for 17 randomly selected washers. A sample mean of $82.95 and standard deviation of $14.89 are

subsequently computed. Determine the 80% confidence interval for the mean repair cost for the washers. Assume the population is approximately normal.Step 1 of 2: Find the critical value that should be used in constructing the confidence interval. Round your answer to three decimal places._____Step 2 of 2: Construct the 80% confidence interval. Round your answer to two decimal places.Lower Endpoint:______ Upper Endpoint:_______

Answer:

Critical value: T = 1.34

Lower endpoint: $63.04

Upper endpoint: $102.86

Step-by-step explanation:

We are in posession of the sample's standard deviation, so we use the student t-distribution to solve this question.

The first step to solve this problem is finding how many degrees of freedom, we have. This is the sample size subtracted by 1. So

df = 17 - 1 = 16

80% confidence interval

Now, we have to find a value of T, which is found looking at the t table, with 16 degrees of freedom(y-axis) and a confidence level of 1 - \frac{1 - 0.8}{2} = 0.9([tex]t_{9}). So we have T = 1.34 as our critical value.

The margin of error is:

M = T*s = 1.337*14.89 = 19.91.

In which s is the standard deviation of the sample.

The lower end of the interval is the sample mean subtracted by M. So it is 82.95 - 19.91 = $63.04

The upper end of the interval is the sample mean added to M. So it is 82.95 + 19.91 = $102.86

enot [183]
10^3 CDs with CD = $12 then total CDs earnings is (10^3)(12) = $12,000
10^2 CD players with CD plater = $35 then total CD player earnings is (10^2)(12) = $1,200
Total store earnings = ($12,000 + $1,200) = $13,200

Answer:

X=___ or x=8 or one of my other answers in the explanation! I hope this helped!

Step-by-step explanation:

it must be 4 because 4 goes on the side by +4 and its x+4 then the other side of the shape is 8 so that meaning x is 4 then 2x+1 is 2 times X + 1 so 2 times 4... 2,4,6,8 or 4+4=8 so then 2 times + 1 is 8 + 1 so 8+1=9 so 2x+1 might also be 12 because its on the other side of the problem/ shape so you use all that you have so you could maybe plus the other side not the problem side for making it a and c and stuff but also 8+12 so 8+12=20 then x might be 20 but you answer meaning X is 8. X=8 Brainliest? i tried really hard! I am not even near this grade whatever grade this is... Plz! Thanks! Thank you! A sector has angle 2.5 radians and perimeter of 18cm. find the radius of the sector
babunello [35]

Answer:

4 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter = 18cm

θ = 2.5 radian

s = rθ, s = Arc length

Perimeter of Sector, P = arc length, s + 2r

Perimeter = rθ + 2r

r = Radius

18cm = r(2.5) + 2r

18cm = 2.5r + 2r

18cm = 4.5r

r = 18 /4.5

r = 4
