Hier soir = yesterday night, so you've got to use the "passé composé"

il/elle/ on a vu
nous avons vu
vous avez vu
ils/elles ont vu.
I'm not sure if there is a proper way because there are many ways to do it, but I would say "comment ça va" because that's how people non- natives are usually taught it
