The naval ship came to the island from the story of the Lord of the Flies because they crew members saw a jungle fire smoke that attracted their attention. Therefore, the answer would be letter C. The naval officer then came to rescue Ralph and his friends from the terrors of the island.

The correct answer is C. The smoke form the jungle fire attracter their attention

Explanation:

"The Lord of the Flies" is a novel written by the British writer William Golding and published in 1954, this novel tells the story of a group of boys maroon in an island. The story begins as an aeroplane that is trying to escape from war crashes on the ocean near to an island and only a group of kids survived, from that moment they try to govern and organize themselves in order to survive, as a result there are multiple conflicts between the boys, including one of the boys called Jack trying to lead the group. In one of this conflicts, Jack orders his tribe or group to persecute another kid and they set fire to the place, thus, there is a huge fire in the island and a cruiser or naval ship that was sailing near to the island with Brithis officcers decide to approach to investigate and then rescued the kids. Thus, the naval ship arrives to the island due to the smoke from the jungle as this caught their attention.
