First get a common denominator

1/2 + 4/6

1/2(3/3) = 3/6

3/6 + 4/6

Then add the two together

3/6 + 4/6 = 7/6

7/6 is then equal to 1 1/6

1 1/6 is your answer

hope this helps

First you need a common denominator
multiply 1/2 by 3
3 * 1 = 3 and 2*3 = 6
so, you now need to know what 3/6 + 4/6 =
so, when adding fractions, you must never add the bottom, only the top
3 + 4 = 7
so 3/6 + 4/6 = 7/6 or 1 and 1/6
Hope I helped!

3,486÷ 2=n
please show work so I can understand it
TEA [102]

Hello!

3,486 / 2 = n

n = 1743

work:

you simply divide 3,486 by 2

if you divide each number by two (right to left)

6 / 2 = 3

8 / 2 = 4

4 / 2 = 2

3 / 2 = 1.5

since there is a decimal in this, multiply it by 10 and add it to the number before. this number will go on the right side of the total

1.5 * 10 =15

15 + 2 = 17

17 4 3 are the final numbers in order. put them together and you have 1743

(this is my personal way of doing it, but there are plenty more ways to do it)

I hope this helps, and have a nice day!

How many different committees can be formed from 99 teachers and 3434 students if the committee consists of 33 teachers and 22
xenn [34]
There are 47,124 different committees you can select.

Explanation:
The number of combinations of 9 teachers taken 3 at a time is given by
_9C_3=\frac{9!}{3!6!}=84

The number of combinations of 34 students taken 2 at a time is given by
_{34}C_2=\frac{34!}{2!32!}=561

Together this makes 84*561 = 47124 combinations.

How does the ratio of corresponding side lengths of the two quadrilaterals compare with the ratio of the areas of the quadrilate
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

The ratio of the areas would be the ratio of the side lengths squared.

Say the ratio of the side lengths is 1:2, the ratio of the areas would be 1:4. If the ratio of the sides were 2:3, the ratio of the areas would be 4:9.

Hope this helps
