I'm pretty sure it's 3 1/4 because if you add 2 1/2 and 1 1/6 it'll be 3 2/8 then if you reduce it it'll be 3 1/4

The 2 and the 1 are complete wholes so they can be added easily 2 + 1 = 3
then you have 1/2 and 1/6 you need to find a common denominator
1/2 is equal to 2/4,4/8,3/6.... but we can use 3/6 for 1/2
3/6 + 1/6 = 4/6 to simplify it the numerator and the denominator have to share a common factor, in this case, 2. 4/6 can be condensed into 2/3

A small grain silo is filled with wheat at the end of each season. If the silo is only half full, how many cubic meters of wheat
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

Volume of wheat = 147.26 m³ (check the explanation)

Step-by-step explanation:

The question still lacks some details such as the size of the silo. We will go forward by assuming the size of the silo to aid our calculation. Silos are cylindrical storage structures that range from 3 - 27 m in diameter and 10 - 90 m in height. For the purpose of this question, let's assume that the size of the silo is 5 m (diameter) by 15 m (height).

Let's list out the parameters to be used:

diameter (D) = 5 m; r = D ÷ 2 ⇒ r = 5/2 = 2.5 m,

height (h) = 15 m

Volume of silo = πr²h = π * 2.5² * 15

V (silo) = <u>294.52</u> m³

The silo is half full ⇒ ½ * V

Volume of wheat stored is given by half of the silo volume, since the silo is half-full

V (wheat) = ½ * 298.52

V (wheat) = <u>147.26</u> m³

Katena32 [7]
Never. If you rent one hour the difference will be $12 - $10 =$2, if your rent for 2 hours, the difference will be $24 - $20 = $4, and so the difference will grow as the number of hours increase.

How to solve<br> 3/5e-6=-2/5(e-10)-7
kaheart [24]
\frac{3}{5} e-6=- \frac{2}{5}(e-10)-7
\frac{3}{5} e-6=- \frac{2}{5} e- \frac{2}{5}*(-10) -7 \\  \frac{3}{5} e-6=- \frac{2}{5} e+ \frac{20}{5} -7= \frac{3}{5} e-6=- \frac{2}{5} e+4 -7= \\
\frac{3}{5}e-6=- \frac{2}{5} e-3      /*5
3e-18=-2e-15        /+15
3e-3=-2e            /+2e
5e-3=0              /+3
5e=3
e=\frac{3}{5}
