Every country in the European Union has a democratic government. Actually, one of the most important conditions for a European country to enter the European Union is to have a strong democracy. It is true that democratic systems among European countries differ, most of them have parliamentary democracies, France presents a hybrid system between parliamentary and presidential system, and others have constitutional monarchies like Spain and the Netherlands. Anyway, all of the European Union countries are examples of strong democratic republics.
