Area of the triangle=
1/2×B×h where B equal Base, and h equal height. For this problem, we see that the base equal 24 inches, but we do not have the height of this yet, so we need to find by using Pythagorean theorem, and I don't know that 5th grade learn that yet. This formula that I will let you know is 8th grade math.

a^2+b^2=c^2
(24/2)^2+b^2=37^2
144+b^2=1369
b^2=1369-144
b^2=1225
Square root this equation to get
b=35, and we know that the height will equal to 35 inches.

A=1/2×B×h
A=1/2×24×35
A=12×35
A=420 in.^2. As a result, the area of the triangle is 420 square inches. Hope it help!

The area of a triangle is 1/2 bh. First, you add 24+37+3. Your answer is 64. Now you are gonna find 1/2 of 64, which gives you your answer of 32.

Which linear equations does the graph show the solution to? Select all that apply. y = 2x + 13 y = –x – 2 y = 3x – 5 y = negativ
salantis [7]

Answer:

y = 2x + 13

y = –x – 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The options are:

y = 2x + 13

y = -x - 2

y = 3x - 5

y= -(1/2)x + 6

y = -2x - 2

The graph is shown in the figure attached. There, point (-5, 3) is shown. Replacing it into the equations we get:

y = 2(-5) + 13  = 3    (so, it is a solution)

y = -(-5) - 2 = 3     (so, it is a solution)

y = 3(-5) - 5  = -20 ≠ 3   (so, it isn't a solution)

y= -(1/2)(-5) + 6  = 8.5 ≠ 3     (so, it isn't a solution)

y = -2(-5) - 2 = 8 ≠ 3     (so, it isn't a solution)

Footballs sell for $27.99 each at Dicks Sporting Goods and $21.59 each at Big 5. If the coach buys a dozen footballs, how much c
klasskru [66]

Answer:

The money he can save by buying them at Big 5 is $76.80.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Footballs sell for $27.99 each at Sporting Goods.

Footballs sell for $21.59 each at Big 5.

The coach buys a dozen footballs.

Now, to find the amount he save by buying them at Big 5.

So, first we find the cost of footballs at Sporting Goods and at Big 5.

1 Dozen = 12 pieces.

Thus, the cost of footballs at Sporting Goods =

\$27.99\times 12 =\$335.88

And, the cost of footballs at Big 5 =

\$21.59\times 12=\$259.08.

Now, to get the amount coach can save by buying them at Big 5, we subtract both the cost as the cost of Sporting Goods is more than the Cost of Big 5:

The amount coach can save by buying them at Big 5 =

\$335.88-\$259.08=\$76.80.

Therefore, the amount he can save by buying them at Big 5 is $76.80.

The function f(x) = 4x + 5 has domain 0sxs 50. What is its range?<br> The range of the function is
MrMuchimi

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  range: 5 ≤ f(x) ≤ 205

Step-by-step explanation:

You can put the extreme values of x in this linear function to see its range:

  f(0) = 4·0 +5 = 5

  f(50) = 4·50 +5 = 205

The range is 5 ≤ f(x) ≤ 205.
