Answer:

a. For the outside perimeter, as you can see, it consists of half-circle at the top and a rectangular below,

Perimeter = Perimeter of half circle + Perimeter of rectangular

                = 2 x pi x 10/2 + (60 + 20) x 2 = 10pi + 160 = 191.42

b. Area of triangle 3 = base x height x 1/2 = 20 x 16/2 x 1/2 = 80

c. Area of rectangular 1 = length x width = (20/2) x width = 10 x width (here width is undefined).

d. Area of triangle 5 = base x height x 1.2 = 16 x 20/2 x 1/2 = 80

e. Area of half-circle 10 = Radius^2 x pi x 1/2 = 10^2 x pi x 1/2 = 50pi = 157.08

a, b, c, d, e are marked from top to bottom of table you need to fill in.

Hope this helps!

A master student is planning to take a qualifying exam in the coming summer. She has three chances. The first one is in June. If
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

P_1=Probability of clearing exam in 1 st attempt=0.5

P_2=Probability of clearing exam in 2 nd attempt=0.7

P_3=Probability of clearing exam in 3 rd attempt=0.8

Probability that she passes the exam=P(1 st\ attempt)+P(1\ fail)\cdot P(2\ pass)+P(1\ fail)\cdot P(2\ fail)\cdot P(3 rd pass)

P=0.5+0.5\times 0.7+0.5\times 0.3\times 0.8=0.97

(b)P(Pass qualification on 2nd try|passes qualification)

P(Pass qualification on 2nd try|passes qualification)=\frac{P(fail\ on\ 1 )\cdot P(pass\ in\ 2nd)}{P(passes)}

P(Pass qualification on 2nd try|passes qualification)=\frac{0.5\times 0.7}{0.97}=0.3608

If (6y − 11)(6y 11) = ay^2 − b, what is the value of a? the value of a is ____________.
Triss [41]
(6y - 11)(6y + 11) = ay² - b    |use (a - b)(a + b) = a² - b²

(6y)² - 11² =ay² - b

36y² - 121 = ay² - b    |add b to both sides

ay² = 36y² - 121 + b        |divide both sides by y² ≠ 0

a = (36y² - 121 + b)/y²

\boxed{a=\dfrac{36y^2-121+b}{y^2}}
