Answer:

Not 100 percent sure but number 2 and 3 dont make a polygen, they only make a line. so 0.

For the fourth one i am not 100 percent sure. I think it makes unlimited polygons.

Step-by-step explanation:

Again, not 100 percent sure.

The best way to find out is to draw them.

I matched the two points of 2 and 3 and they make a line they dont make a polygen as for the last one i dont think it makes any

Find the area of the surface. the part of the surface y = 5x + z2 that lies between the planes x = 0, x = 1, z = 0, and z = 1.
Alex787 [66]

Parameterize the part of the surface we care about, denoted \mathcal S, by

\mathbf r(u,v)=\langle u,5u+v^2,v\rangle

with 0\le u\le1 and 0\le v\le1.

Then

\|\mathbf r_u\times\mathbf r_v\|=\|\langle5,-1,2v\rangle\|=\sqrt{4v^2+26}

The area is given by the surface integral

\displaystyle\iint_{\mathcal S}\mathrm dS=\int_{v=0}^{v=1}\int_{u=0}^{u=1}\|\mathbf r_u\times\mathbf r_v\|\,\mathrm du\,\mathrm dv

=\displaystyle\int_{v=0}^{v=1}\sqrt{4v^2+26}\,\mathrm dv=\sqrt{\dfrac{15}2}+\dfrac{13}2\sinh^{-1}\sqrt{\dfrac2{13}}

A building is 50 feet tall and casts a 25 foot shadow. If Mark is 6 feet tall, how long would
trasher [3.6K]

Answer:

Mark's shadow would be 3 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

If a building is 50 feet tall and casts a 25 foot shadow, then the shadow of an object is <u>1/2</u> the length of the actual object.

This can be supported by the division problem:

50 ÷ 2 = 25

If Mark is 6 feet tall, then we need to <em><u>divide</u></em> 6 by 2 in order to find the length of the shadow.

6 ÷ 2 = 3

Therefore, Mark's shadow would be 3 feet.

Hope this helps! :D

Absolute value is the distance from numbers on a number line. The absolute value of -7 is 7 b/c it is 7 units from 0. The absolute value of 5 is 5 b/c it is 5 units from 0.

A negative number is a number that is negative. On a horizontal number line negative numbers are to the left.

A positive number is a number that is positive. On a horizontal number line positive numbers are to the right.

I don't understand the last paragraph though. Hope this helped :D
