Answer and Explanation:

What one can do is to try dissolving the  powder in H_{2}O; if the powder fails to get dissolved, then we can state that it is a non polar compound.  Non-polar compounds are known as or referred to as the compounds which tends to not have the slightly positive and negative charges within the given compound. Electronegativity differences of these  compounds are mostly in between 0 and 0.2.
