Answer:

centrosome and lysosomes

Explanation:

The centrosome (two centrioles) are only present in animal cell and is absent in plant cell. These are microtubules which are used in the formation of spindle fibres at the time of cell division. The spindle fibres seperates the chromatids. The plant cell still forms spindle fibres in the absence of centrioles.

The lysosome is absent in plant cell whereas plant vacuoles functions similarly to lysosomes. The lysosomes play important role in removing debris material from the cell. Cilia and desmosomes are also absent in plant cells.

Testosterone and estrogen are lipid-soluble signal molecules that cross the plasma membrane by simple diffusion. If these molecu
ladessa [460]

Answer:

Non- targeted cell lacks intracellular receptor for these hormone.

Explanation:

Receptors that are found on the cell surface are called cell surface receptor and those which are found inside the cell are called intracellular receptors. Intracellular receptor binds to lipophilic molecules. Each receptor binds specifically to a particular ligand or signal molecule.

So even though testosterone and estrogen can diffuse in every cell they will only affect those cell which have specific receptor which can bind to these hormones and then regulate the transcription of a specific gene in the nucleus.

So only those cells will respond to testosterone and estrogen who have specific intracellular receptors for them.

Describe the biotic and abiotic features of the temperate deciduous forests
frez [133]
Living things in the environment such as plants, animals, and bacteria are biotic factors. Biotic factors also include once-living parts such as dead leaves on the forest floor. Abiotic factors are nonliving aspects of the environment such as sunlight, temperature and water. One important abiotic factor is soil.

A large power point burns coal to generate electricity for nearby homes and businesses.
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

Pollution

Explanation:

Burning of coal contributes most directly to an environmental change described as pollution.

Pollution is generally defined as the presence of substance in the environment at a level that disrupt the normal biotic functioning of the environment. Pollutants are substances whose level of concentration in the environment affects the normal biotic functioning of the environment.

The burning of coal leads to the release of harmful substances to the environment. These substances could be in form of gases such as oxides of carbon, sulfur and nitrogen that are capable of causing acid rain and global warming, heavy metals such as mercury and lead, as well as particulate matters.

Heavy metals are harmful to organisms when they find their ways into the food chains while particulate matters in the atmosphere reduce visibility and are capable of causing damages to properties when they are deposited on them.

Ashes remains from coal burning are also capable of causing pollution to nearby lakes and water bodies when they are washed down. This will lead to the disturbance of lives in the aquatic environment and decrease the quality of the water bodies for various uses.
