The temperature in Alaskan tundra is extremely low and hence its soil is mostly in frozen condition. Also the Alaskan soil lack nutrients and vegetation due to frost in soil up to a depth of 100 centimeters.
Hence, the burrowing animals have the least chances to survive and exists in this biome.
Though benthic ocean zone is predominantly water biome but it too has sea floor burrowing sea urchin species.
