Every year a rice farmer collects his crops and burns the soil when he is done once the soil is enriched with debris he replants

his rice unfortunately for the farmer he fell ill and was unable to take care of his fields for over a year in that time he notices that an array of wild plants and animals have moved into his rice lands the landscape has started to look very similar to a neighboring forest

Every year the farmer was taking care of his ice field, keep it clean and clear of all the unnecessary shrubs and then reuse the debris to fertile the soil again and then grow rice again. But since he fell sick, there is no one to take care of his rice field which will leads to the growth of unnecessary plants and weeds in it.

There will grow wild plants and shrubs which will contaminate the rice field.

2) Sometimes insects will instead sit on top of a warm surface in order to increase their body temperature. What is the primary
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

The correct option is C.

Explanation:

There are three modes of heat conduction, these are conduction, convection and radiation. Heat transfer by conduction usually involves the movement of heat through solid substances. For instance, in the scenario given in this question, the warm surface is the solid substance through which heat is passed to the insects' bodies. Thus, conduction requires direct contact.

Heat transfer by convection method usually involves the movement of heat through liquids or gases while radiation can occur in vacuum.

Correctly identify each of these definitions or examples as either depolarization or hyperpolarization of the plasma membrane. 1
natulia [17]

Answer:

 1. hyperpolarization
 2. depolarization
 3. hyperpolarization
 4. depolarization
 5. hyperpolarization
 6. depolarization
 7. depolarization

Explanation:

The resting membrane potential is balanced by ion leakage and ion pumping, to get an electrical signal started the membrane potential has to lose its balance. This starts with a membrane channel opening for Na+ since Na+ concentration is higher outside the cell, ions will rush into the cell. This will change the relative voltage inside the cell. The resting potential has a voltage of -70 mV, the sodium cation entering the cell cause it to become less negative. This is known as depolarization.

The concentration gradient for Na+ will continue to enter the cell making the voltage to become positive reaching +30 mV. At the same time, this happens, other voltage-gated channels are also opening, a concentration gradient acts on K+, as well, as it leaves the cell, it takes a positive charge with it making the membrane potential to move back to its resting voltage of -70 mV. This is called repolarization.

For potassium ions to reach equilibrium the membrane voltage needs to be below -70 mV, this leads to a period of hyperpolarization that occurs while the K+ channels are open.

I annexed an image that illustrates this action potential process.

Considering the information given during depolarization there's an increase in the number of sodium leak channels (7) making the inside of the cell more positive (2) increase in the membrane potential (4), this also implies a decrease in the extracellular concentration of potassium (6)

Meanwhile, during hyperpolarization an increase in the extracellular concentration of potassium (3) decreases the membrane potential (1) making the inside of the cell more negative (5).

I hope you find this information useful and interesting! Good luck!

What is the relationship between gravity and the motions of the objects in the solar system?
kirill115 [55]
The force of gravity affects all objects on Earth by pulling them towards the centre. The Earth is close to spherical in shape as this is the geometry gravity prefers. Without gravity, objects would be floating in space. The atmosphere would not exist as the air particles would have no force pulling them towards the planet. Gravity means when you throw something up, most of the time it will come down. It is a force, which causes objects to accelerate when they fall.
