The slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have the slope m=1\to y=1x+b=x+b

and point (2, 4). Substitute:

4=2+b subtract 2 from both sides

2=b\to b=2

Answer: y=x+2

Start with the simplest equation of a straight line: y = mx + b.

Subst. 1 for m, 2 for x and 4 for y.  Then, 4 = 1(2) + b, or b = 2.

In slope-intercept form, the equation of this line is y = x + 2.

Please help!!! How do you count (-3y^2+5y) (4y+7)??
levacccp [35]

You must distribute each value like this:

(-3y^2+5y) (4y+7)\\ \\ (-12y^3-21y^2+20y^2+35y)\\ \\ (-12y^3-y^2+35y)

Hope that helps!

The perimeter of a parallelogram is 15.42 cm. The length of its sides is 2.93. What isthe lengths of its other sides?
KATRIN_1 [288]
Paaralellogram has 2 pairs of paralell sidess
therefor there are 2 pairs of sides with same legnth
perimiter=legnth+widht+legnth+width since the opposite sides ar the same sinnce paralell
perimiter=2legnth +2width

perimiter=15.42
legnth=2.93
subsitute
15.42=2(2.93)+2width
15.42=5.86+2width
subtract 5.86 from both sides
9.56=2width
divide both sides by 2
4.78

legth of ther side is 4.78 cm
