It depends on which statistic test we wish to perform, the formula to find a degree of freedom could be different.

for Normal Distribution test, we do not need to find a degree of freedom

for T-test and Chi-Square test, we do n - 1 to find the degree of freedom, where 'n' is the sample size.

if we have two different sample size, then the degree of freedom is given by (n₁ + n₂) - 2

We are given only one sample size, n = 28, hence the degree of freedom is 28 - 1 = 27

According to the 2010 U.S. Census, there are approximately 8 million people living in Virginia. This is 2.8 million less than 4
grandymaker [24]

Solution: We are given that the population of Virginia is 8 million.

Let x be the population of Nevada.

We are given population of Virginia is 2.8 million less than 4 times the population of Nevada.

\therefore 4x-2.8=8

      4x=8+2.8

      4x=10.8

      x=\frac{10.8}{4} =2.7

The first step is to on both sides.

add 2.8

The second step is to on both sides.

divide 4

The population of Nevada is million.

2.7

Elenna [48]
44 because you divide 220 by five because it’s 4 times as many and then add one for the employees. Try it! 44 is right and 176 for the listeners of you need that too

Compare the graphs below of the logarithmic functions. Write the equation to represent g(x).
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

The equation to represent g(x) will be g(x)=log(x)+4

Step-by-step explanation:

Considering the logarithmic function

f(x)=log(x)

As we know that when a constant c gets added to the parent function, the result would be a vertical shift c units in the direction of the sign of c.

So,

g(x)=log(x)+4 is basically the shift up by 4 units, and the graph also showing the same situation.

Therefore, the equation to represent g(x) will be g(x)=log(x)+4

Also, the graphs of both f(x)=log(x) and  g(x)=log(x)+4 is attached where black mark graph represents  f(x)=log(x) and red mark graph represents g(x)=log(x)+4.
