X² + ((1.5x + 3) - 3)² = 16
<span>x² + (1.5x)² = 16 </span>
<span>x² + 2.25x² = 16 </span>
<span>3.25x² = 16 </span>
<span>x = 8√(13)/13 </span>
<span>x ≈ 2.219 </span>
<span>and so </span>
<span>y = 1.5(8√(13)/13)+ 3 </span>
<span>   ≈ 6.328 </span>
<span>so </span>
<span>(2.219, 6.328) </span>

A box was measured with a degree of accuracy to the nearest 2cm; 24cm × 24cm × 20cm. What is the smallest possible volume of the
Strike441 [17]
Each measurement is accurate to 2cm so they can each be “off” by 2. Since we want the smallest possible volume let’s assume each is actually 2 less than what is given.

The sides would then measure: 22, 22 and 18cm respectively. We obtain the volume by multiplying length, width and height...the three values given.

Thus the smallest volume is 22x22x18=8,712 cm^3

juin [17]

Answer:

The percentage of the total pieces are sour patch kids = \frac{1}{3} × 100

   = 33.33 %

Step-by-step explanation:

( \frac{1}{2}) x +( \frac{1}{4}) x +( \frac{3}{4})  x = 1

LCM = 4

{ \frac{2 + 1 + 3}{4} } x = 1

\frac{6}{4} × x = 1

\frac{3 x}{2} = 1

3 x =2

∴ x = \frac{2}{3}

The remaining piece are sour patch kids

so  1 -( \frac{2}{3})

    = \frac{1}{3}

The percentage of the total pieces are sour patch kids = \frac{1}{3} × 100

   = 33.33 %
