Eventually, the California School Board arranged for all Asian students to be placed in a segregated school. The US government intervened and the Gentlemen's Agreement of 1907 was born. This agreement mean Japan would agree that the US could deny passports by Japanese workers to enter the US from Japan or from other countries. Following this agreement, the California School board agreed to desegregate the schools.
