A rumor spreads among a population of [unknown number] people at a rate proportional to the product of the number of people who have heard the rumor and the number of people who have not heard the rumor.

        If [variable] p denotes the number of people who have heard the rumor, the differential equations could be used to model the situation with respect to time (t), where as (k) is a positive constant.

As stated : "a rumor is changing at a rate ".

= \dfrac{dp}{dt}

"is proportional "

\dfrac{dp}{dt} = k * \text{Unknown number}

"product of number of people who heard rumor and who haven't"

p * (n-p)

Since n is the total population the correct answer is (b).

Complete the square for x^2+12x-5.
Setler [38]

Answer:

x^2+12x-5=(x+6)^2-41

Step-by-step explanation:

The given expression is x^2+12x-5

Comparing to ax^2+bx+c, we have a=1,b=12,c=-5

We add and subtract (\frac{b}{2a})^2

x^2+12x+6^2-6^2-5

This implies that:

\boxed{x^2+6x+36}-36-5

The expression in the rectangle is a perfect square

(x+6)^2-41

Therefore x^2+12x-5=(x+6)^2-41

Clout chaser don’t use beauty for hype
bixtya [17]

Beauty is hard to accept when you are seeing it in yourself. This is a valid question to ask, however on this sight not exactly. They obviously believe they are not ugly and other people are saying they are. Models use their beauty for hype so it's not a bad thing. In this case all you are doing is giving this person more attention. Without you this wouldn't have been any of my concern. Instead of posting about someone else keep it to yourself because what you have to say about them is irrelevant. This is a homework site so to slow down the pace of things that aren't don't post stuff like this because you are just adding onto it. Thanks for the points have a great day god bless.

Pepsi [2]

Answer:

Interval is given with 97% confidence. Thus there is 3% probability that interval is not true.

Step-by-step explanation:

In Statistics, estimated intervals are given with some confidence level. In this example person develop the interval with 97% confidence.

Statistically, this means that the person can be 97% sure (not 100%) that population mean is 74.3 < µ < 78.3. There is still 3% probability that population mean falls outside of the interval.

Small sample size may also lead wrong estimates.
