Business

Answer and explanation:

a)

This investment tax credit will lead to a surge in the investment demand, because of the benefits that the firms receive from the investment tax credit. More and more firms will undertake investments leading to an increase causing the IS curve to shift to the right.

This implies that the output and GDP will increase in the short run.

b)

The increase in the demand for US goods will lead to an increase in the capital inflow for the country, the exports will increase, and the IS curve will shift to the right.

This implies that the output and GDP will increase in the short run

(check the attached image file 2)

c)

US consumers' infatuation with goods and services from New Zealand is going to increase the imports of the country. While it may also reduce the domestic consumption spending. This, however, will affect the country by shifting its IS curve to the left.

This implies that the output and GDP will decrease in the short ran.

d)

Though the prices of the houses will fall sharply, increasing the affordability of the houses but the confidence of the people in real estate will be shaken. This would lead to a fall in the housing investment. This fall in investment will shift the IS curve to the left.

This implies that the output and GDP will decrease in the short run.

Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

0.00914 ; 0.0062 ; 0.9847

Explanation:

Given the following :

Normal distribution :

Mean(m) = $4200

Standard deviation (sd) = 720

Amount VERY low = < 2500

Amount very high = > 6000

a. What percent of the days will the bank be notified because the amount dispensed is very low?

x < 2500

Finding the z-score :

Z = (x - mean) / standard deviation

Z = (2500 - 4200) / 720

Z = - 1700 / 720 = −2.361111

P(z < −2.361111)

Locating −2.361111 on the z- distribution table

-2.3 under 0.06 = 0.00914

P(z < −2.361111) = 0.00914

B) What percent of the time will the bank be notified because the amount is very high?

x > 6000

Finding the z-score :

Z = (x - mean) / standard deviation

Z = (6000 - 4200) / 720

Z = 1800 / 720 = 2.5

P(z > 2.5)

Locating 2.5 on the z- distribution table = 0.9938

P(z > 2.5) = 1 - 0.9938 = 0.0062

c. What percent of the time will the bank not be notified regarding the amount of funds being dispensed?

P(2500 < X < 6000)

P(2500 < X < 6000)

P(-2.36 < z < 0) + P(0 < z < 2.5)

= 0.4909 + 0.4938

= 0.9847

True or false: economizing behavior involves choosing the option that brings the greatest satisfaction at the least cost.
Neko [114]
True. "Economizing behavior" is the result of purposeful and rational decision making on behalf of the economizer. The better option in two items of the same quality is to buy the cheaper object. For example, if you want to buy a chocolate bar and see that one seller offers one at $1.50 and the other one offers one at $3. Economizing behavior would be to buy the first bar.

You want to earn a return of 10% on each of two stocks, A and B. Each of the stocks is expected to pay a dividend of $4 in the u
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

The value of stock A is higher than the value of Stock B and option A is the correct answer.

Explanation:

The constant growth model values the intrinsic value of a stock based on a constant growth rate in the dividends paid by the stock. This is a part of DDM and it values a stock based on the present value of the expected future dividends from the stock.

The formula for price today under constant growth model is,

P0 = D1 / (r - g)

Where,

 • D1 is the expected dividend for the next period
 • r is the required rate of return
 • g is the growth rate in dividends

We will calculate the P1 and discount is back one year to calculate the price today because we are given P1 and the constant growth rate applies from Year2 or D2.

Stock A

P1 = 4 * (1+0.06) / (0.1 - 0.06)

P0 = 106 / (1+0.1)

P0 = $96.36

Stock B

P1 = 4 * (1+0.05) / (0.1 - 0.05)

P0 = 84 / (1+0.1)

P0 = $76.36

Thus the value of stock A is higher than that of Stock B.
