How does the structure of the small intestine help it to perform its function?
Mumz [18]

The correct answer is:

D .Villi in the small intestine have thin-walled capillaries to make the absorption of nutrients more efficient.

Explanation:

The small intestines are well adjusted for absorbing nutrients during digestion by being very long, having villi and microvilli that enlarge surface area, using muscular contractions to move and mix food, and raising and housing digestive enzymes and bile that aid the breakdown of food. The inner surface of the small intestine is not flat but thrown into circular folds, which not only enhance surface area but aid in preparing the ingesta by acting as baffles. Villi: the mucosa makes multitudes of ridges which project into the lumen and are satisfied with epithelial cells.

Why is it easy for a virus to mutate?
drek231 [11]

Answer:

Viruses mutate very quickly The major reason that viruses evolve faster than say, mosquitoes or snakes or bed bugs, is because they multiply faster than other organisms. And that means every new individual is an opportunity for new mutations as they make a copy of their genetic material. Many of those mutations have no noticeable effect.

What letter represents summer where you live?
AURORKA [14]

I live in letter D in summer and letter B in winter.

Explanation:

In the diagram the letter D represents the summer solstice and the letter B represents the winter solstice. But the letter A and C represents the equinoxes that are present in the month of March and September. Here in India the country lies above tropic of Cancer. So the condition here is like the temperate region. So during summer the sun's rays directly fall on the country as well as during winter the country receives oblique sun rays. Thus from the diagram we can see see that the letter B represents the condition of earth when the sun's rays are not directly falling on earth. So it's winter solstice .

In the letter D we can see that the earth is going through the summer solstice because sun's rays are directly falling on the earth. So it's summer at that time.
