The first 10's are written 10^2. The next A is written A^2. And since there is only one B then you write it like it is already B. So your answer would be 10^2, A^2 and B

1) A cyclist travels a distance of 90 miles in 5 hours. What
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: <u>Speed</u> is distance an object travelled per unit time.

It is represented by letter v and can assume various units.

1) v=\frac{distance}{time}=\frac{d}{t}

v=\frac{90}{5}

v = 18 miles per hour

Her average speed is 18 mph.

2) Rearraging formula for distance:

d = v.t

d = 70 * 4

d = 280 miles

You would travel 280 miles.

3)  v=\frac{d}{t}

v=\frac{315}{6}

v = 52.5 mph

My average speed is 52.5 mph.

4) Rearranging formula to determine time:

t=\frac{d}{v}

t=\frac{210}{90}

t = 2.34 hours

It will take 2 hours and half to arrive in Leeds. So, we will be expected to arrive at 12:04.

5) The unit change but the way of calculating time is the same.

t=\frac{2000}{4}

t = 500 s

or t = 8.34 minutes

It will take, for an athlete to run 2000m, 8.34 minutes.

6) a) All units must match, so for a speed in mph:

45 minutes is 0.75 hours. Total time is 8.75 hours.

v=\frac{420}{8.75}

v = 560 mph

The average speed is 560 mph.

b) t=\frac{d}{v}

t=\frac{420}{63}

t = 6.67 hours

Sam will take 6.67 hours to covered the distance.

hich function has a range of {y|y ≤ 5}? f(x) = (x – 4)2 + 5 f(x) = –(x – 4)2 + 5 f(x) = (x – 5)2 + 4 f(x) = –(x – 5)2 + 4
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

f(x)=-(x-4)^2+5

Step-by-step explanation:

The function f(x)=-(x-4)^2+5 has  the vertex at (4,5).

Since a=-1\:, the graph of the function is a maximum graph.

The highest y-value is the y-coordinate of the vertex which is 5.

Therefore the range is {y|y\le 5}

Therefore the correct answer is B.

Solve the system of equations.<br><br> −4x+3y=−2<br> y=x−1<br><br> x-<br> y-<br>
Kobotan [32]

Answer: x=  -1

               y= -2

Step-by-step explanation:

-4x+3y= -2

y=x-1

-------------------

-4x+3(x-1)= -2

-4x+3x-3= -2

-x=1

x= -1

y=-1-1

y=-2

LUCKY_DIMON [66]
First, find a lowest common denominator. The lcd in this equation os 8 so your new fractions would be 4/8, 6/8, and 7/8. You add the numerators (top numbers), which equals 17/8. Then you simplify to 2 1/8 liters.
