Answer:

The great plains of America are present in between Mexico and Canada. These plains are formed due to erosion which is influenced by the climatic factors as moderate temperature, the wind that also causes erosion, moderate to heavy rainfall responsible for moving rocks and soil. They deposit the soil and rock they erode, and sediment it layers by layer.

The current climate of the great plains is the continental climate which is generally characterized by the hot summer and cold winter. The biome is present it is a grassland biome.

Thus, the climatic factors responsible for the formation of the great plains are listed as above and biome is of grassland type.

The Great Plains have a continental climate. Much of the plains experience cold winters and warm summers, with low precipitation and humidity, much wind, and sudden changes in temperature. More rainfall occurs in summer than in winter, except in some of the northwestern parts of the Great Plains.

Utah's Great Salt Lake has an average salinity seven times higher than that of the oceans. Very few multicellular organisms live
ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer: actively pump water back into their cells to counter its loss due to osmosis.

Explanation:

The salt lake is the hypertonic solution that means it exhibit the high concentration of salt as compared to what is present in the cells of the organisms. Thus the cells of animals or plants in the hypertonic solution shrinks as they will loose water. The water moves from the higher concentration to the lower concentration.

The brine shrimp cells will shrink in the hypertonic solution of the salt water. Thus the shrimp will actively take or pump water inside the cell to counter balance the loss of water caused due to osmosis.

Experimental studies reveal that double-stranded DNA can exist in three different helical forms known as A, B, and Z DNA. Why do
FromTheMoon [43]

Answer:

The correct answer is - B-DNA is the most common form of the DNA present in the cell and a good approximation of the structure of DNA in the cell.

Explanation:

The B- DNA is a form of the DNA that is explained by Watson and crick by the double-helical structure model. B-DNA is the predominant form of the DNA out of the three forms of the DNA which are B-DNA, Z-DNA, and A-DNA.

B-DNA is is provide a good approximation of the structure of DNA in a cell and its most common form of DNA in a cell that makes it the most studied and focused form of DNA.

Thus, the correct answer is -  B-DNA is the most common form of the DNA present in the cell and a good approximation of the structure of DNA in the cell.

Strike441 [17]

Answer:

a.i and iii are correct

Explanation:

Biology is the study of the living organism and how they interact with the other components of the environment and among eachother, this is very important because then you can make the inference that biology studies energy as long as it is carried out by organisms and in the cain et al the definition of environment is the abiotic, or non living organisms with which the living organisms interact.

Why are niches important to<br> ecosystems?
aliya0001 [1]

Answer:

Ecological niches allow species to exist in their environment. Under the right conditions, the species will thrive and play a unique role. Without the ecological niches, there would be less biodiversity, and the ecosystem would not be in balance.

If two species occupied the same niche, they would be competing for the exact same resources. The competitive exclusion principle states that one of the species would drive the other to extinction.
