The Beringa land bridge. This land bridge stretched from Siberia to Alaska across the Bering Strait, hence the name Beringa land bridge.
It was "James Watt" who invented the piston-driven steam engines that powered all kinds of machines in the Industrial Revolution, since this greatly increased production rates and efficiency.
1)when the explorers travel they have something to look at
2)they can do some historical research on them
3)that they had some attacks and the fort was used as a defend its position
