The post-eradication era is a period of history for which there has been no precedent whatsoever in terms of a zero base of immunity. Cessation of immunization will eventually create a population susceptible to widespread infection in the event of accidental or intentional reintroduction or re-emergence of the eradicated virus. Thus, even after immunization ceases, vaccine production must continue.

However, many currently available vaccines may not be appropriate for continued post-eradication vaccine production or reinstatement. Vaccines must be continually improved and ongoing vaccination research maintained. Other potentially useful antiviral strategies—antivirals, prophylaxis, and probiotics—must also be considered as means to strengthen the immune system and serve as adjuvant or prophylactic therapies.

In the case of polio, for example, it remains to be determined which vaccine (oral polio vaccine [OPV] or inactivated polio vaccine [IPV]), or variant thereof, should be produced in the post-eradication, post-vaccination era. A detailed plan for vaccine production will require more information on OPV-derived viral persistence and transmission, as well as continuing dialogue between public health and research communities in order to ensure that appropriate vaccination research continues.

Answer: There are various types of cell technology available that can help in the eradication of many harmful diseases.

Explanation: This process involves various cell technology that can be helpful when it comes to eradication of disease. There was a very deadly disease named small pox that is completely eradicated because of vaccine.

Vaccine can be defined as the group of live or attenuated form of organism that is injected inside the body so that it creates a memory for the future. If the same organism is encountered by the body again then antibodies will be produced very fastly to kill the antigen.

There are many more diseases that are kept on focus for its eradication by the help of cell technology.

Answer:

What are mycorrhizal fungi?

  • Mycorrhizal fungi are critical members of the plant microbiome, forming a symbiosis with the roots of most plants on Earth.

What type of relationship do mycorrhizal fungi have with plants?

  • Mycorrhizae: The Symbiotic Relationship between Fungi and Roots. These conditions are very common; therefore, most plants rely on fungi to facilitate the uptake of minerals from the soil. Mycorrhizae, known as root fungi, form symbiotic associations with plant roots.

Why do scientists refer to this network as the "Wood Wide Web"?

  • Scientists call the fungi the Wood Wide Web because 'adult' trees can share sugars to younger trees, sick trees can send their remaining resources back into the network for others, and they can communicate with each other about dangers like insect infestations.

How do mycorrhizal fungi help plants communicate?

  • Plants communicate via mycorrhizal networks with other plants of the same or different species. Mycorrhizal networks allow for the transfers of signals and cues between plants which influence the behavior of the connected plants by inducing morphological or physiological changes.

In what ways can the network work against certain plants?

  • Since then, scientists have learned that they also help plants locate water and provide certain nutrients through mycelia strands around their roots. The fungal networks protect plants from infection too, by providing protective compounds, stored in the roots, which are triggered should the plant be attacked.

assess the similarities and differences between the somatic nervous system and the autonomic nervous system
Effectus [21]

Similarities and differences are explained below

Explanation:

Differences:

somatic nervous system:

  • It is part of the peripheral nervous system associated with the voluntary control of body movements through the skeletal muscles and mediation of involuntary reflex arcs.
  • It has sensory and motor pathways.
  • It controls muscles and movement.
  • System responses are based on skeletal muscle contraction.

Autonomic nervous system:

  • The autonomic nervous system is subdivided into the sympathetic nervous system and  parasympathetic nervous system
  • It possesses only motor pathways.
  • It controls glands and internal organs.
  • This system works automatically, without a person's conscious effort.

Similarities between  the somatic nervous system and the autonomic nervous system:

Both have  motor pathways

Both the system use nerve impulse

Both the system Weaken Myocytes

Both the system use glucose as an energy source for the muscles that they control

Both the system are controlled by the CNS

Both possess neurons
