Answer:

The National Security Agency is the U.S. government's primary eavesdropping agency. It intercepts, decodes, and analyzes foreign communications — such as emails, telephone calls, and other "signals intelligence." The Fort Meade, Md.–based agency, which has an annual budget of about $10 billion and employs some 40,000 people, has long carried out this mission in the shadows. But a series of leaks by former agency contractor Edward Snowden has revealed the stunning scale of its global surveillance operation. It's now known that the NSA scoops up and stores billions of internet communications and cellphone records from the U.S. and around the world every day, which can then be studied by the agency's legion of code breakers, data miners, and counterterrorism specialists. When President Obama receives his daily intelligence briefing, "at least 75 percent" comes from the NSA's cyberspies, said Mike McConnell, director of national intelligence under President George W. Bush.

One explanation for the fall of the roman empire and the han dynasty is that they both
andreyandreev [35.5K]
The fall of Rome and Han China were alike because both of their governments had become corrupted.● Han bureaucracy officials had become very self-indulgent.● In Han, assassinations to obtain higher ranking positions obscured within the government.● Rome's upper-class officials sought pleasure and ignored their duties as a leader.

The fall of the Roman empire and the Han dynasty were similar because both experienced social unrest during their collapse.● The corruption of government officials caused Roman citizens to become angry and riot.● The result for bad government officials in Han caused the Yellow Turban Revolt, also known as the Yellow Scarf Rebellion.

The fall of Rome and Han China were also similar because they both faced nomadic invasions that greatly contributed to their decline.● The nomadic Xiongnu, later forming another nomadic tribe called the Huns, invaded and attacked Han China, after it could no longer afford to pay tribute to them; this ultimately caused the dynasty to come to and end.● A battle between the Romans and the Visigoths rendered the Roman empire defenseless, allowing the nomadic Germans to take over the empire.

Asian and African nations gained independence in 1950, 1960, and early 1970's what did the united states fear might happen?
kifflom [539]
The correct answer is B) They would become communist or form alliances with the Soviet Union.

After World War II and up until the 1980's, the US federal government adopted a policy of containment. This policy revolved around stopping the spread of communism all over the world. The reason the US developed this policy was because they were worried about the Soviet Union having more power/influence than the United States. When these nations became independent, America would try to ensure that they stayed free from communist influences.

Answer:/Explanation

The term "Green Revolution" otherwise referred to as the Agricultural revolution was an era of a global massive agricultural boom during the 1950s and 1960s. The boom was triggered mainly by the introduction of innovative agricultural technologies in farming. Agricultural production within this period was at its peak, technologies like high-yielding or hybrid seeds were planted; mechanized irrigation and application of fertilizer and pesticides were also adopted; technology-driven food production, processing and storage facilities, and infrastructures were also developed to aid and enhance global agricultural productivity. The green revolution era was of immense benefit to developing nations, especially in Africa, and other Third World nations.

Some of the intended outcomes of the Green Revolution include:

1. Food Security: Green Revolution aided the attainment of average global food security. Food was more readily available and accessible. The initiative was able to prevent massive death and diseases which could have resulted from starvation and malnutrition.

2. Environmental Impact: The employment of safe technological innovation in agricultural production helped to reduce greenhouse gases emission, and thus curb the effect of climate change and global warming.

Some of the unintended outcomes include:

1. Introduction of new diseases and increase in mortality rate: The application of highly concentrated fertilizers to increase agricultural production and the use of high acidic pesticides to control pests had a negative effect on human health, in that humans end up consuming these chemicals which are absorbed by the plants, and this resulted in the growth of cancer disease in humans, and consequently, increase in mortality rate. The Punjab case in India is a classical example of the negative effect of the green revolution.

2. Population Growth: One other unintended outcome of the green revolution was that it encouraged population growth with the belief that there will be enough food to feed the growing world population. This was the biggest concern of Malthusian Theory, which posits that increase food production encourages increase population and that if the population growth is not controlled it will get to a point where the quantity of food produced won't be enough to meet the dietary needs of the world population, and consequently, the world will be plunged in famine.
