Lowering salaries cannot do any good to the productivity because of the workers will loss the urge to do well. Reduction of workforce will also decrease the production. Selling assets cannot affect that much to the production. However, the investment of capital will allow the company to do some adjustments and improvements including the productivity.

Kent Manufacturing produces a product that sells for $50.00 and has variable costs of $24.00 per unit. Fixed costs are $260,000.
Verdich [7]

Answer:

d. 9,200 units.

Explanation:

The computation is shown below for break-even points in units:

= (Fixed expenses ) ÷ (Contribution margin per unit)

where,

Fixed costs = $260,000 + $11,400 = $271,400

Contribution margin per unit = Selling price per unit - variable cost per unit

= $50 - $20.5

= $29.5

Now put these values to the above formula

So, the units would equal to

= $271,400 ÷ $29.5

= 9,200 units

When firms compete by offering unique product features rather than competing on price, ______ occurs.
guapka [62]

When firms compete by offering unique product features rather than competing on price, non-price competition occurs; it is when businesses employ tactics to boost sales and market shares without lowering prices.

What is non-price competition?

In non-price competition, a company "seeks to distinguish its product or service from competing items on the basis of features like design and workmanship," according to a marketing strategy. Because it exists between two or more producers who sell goods and services at the same prices but seek to expand their respective market shares by non-price factors like marketing strategies and higher quality, it frequently happens in imperfectly competitive markets.

Types of Non-Price Competition:

Marketing involves a range of approaches (based round the 4Ps), including product differentiation, advertising, promotion and distribution
