The state that produced more citrus was florida. Oranges are how to make orange juice. Florida has a lot of oranges to produce that much juice. Texas and California are too dry to make that musch food.

Answer: I would contend that the right answer is the D) citrus production + variety + state + 2010.

Explanation: Just to elaborate a little on the answer, it can be added that the other three options can be discarded, since they either miss information or are not specific enough. You need to look for citrus fruits produced in 2010 in three states. Option A looks for agricultural production in general, not for citrus fruits specifically. Option B looks for orange and grapefruit production only, but citrus fruits also include lemons, mandarins, and so on. Option C does not include the year of production. Therefore, the advanced search that would likely produce the best research material is the D, since it looks for citrus production, by variety, by state, and by year.

What is one possible disadvantage of hearing the characters’ voices as opposed to silently reading the scene?
kondaur [170]
The one possible advantage of hearing the characters' voices as opposed to silently reading the scene is that it helps listeners keep track of which woman is speaking. Through audio recording as opposed to silently reading a play, it can also help listeners interpret the characters' emotions and motivations

Answer:

From "On Being A Cripple" by Nancy Mairs

The claim is "I am a cripple."

Explanation:

This claim by Nancy is an assertion by her that something is. Usually, as Nancy is making the declaration, she does not provide any evidence to support her affirmation. This is because the readers of this story cannot ascertain why Nancy concludes that she is crippled. If some evidence is given, the claim remains subjective as it is the narrator's personal opinion. After all, she can still claim that she is divinely and extremely blessed in her physical condition.

Nancy Mairs (1986) wrote this short story to question the imprecise descriptions that society has been coining to label some people who are not like others in physical look, as if lessening the truth or bluntness about a person's condition could lessen the pains. For Nancy, she disagrees totally. Instead, she finds meaning and humor on being described as a cripple, the plain truth about her physical condition. She states that she is simply physically crippled. No euphemism should be intended.

Even as I am checking my write-up on this issue, it is being reported as "sensitive" instead of "vulgar." This shows that our society is relegating truth to niceties, just to pander to the sensibilities of others.

Answer:

The “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered by Martin Luther King, Jr. before a crowd of some 250,000 people at the 1963 March on Washington, remains one of the most famous speeches in history. Weaving in references to the country’s Founding Fathers and the Bible, King used universal themes to depict the struggles of African Americans before closing with an improvised riff on his dreams of equality. The eloquent speech was immediately recognized as a highlight of the successful protest, and has endured as one of the signature moments of the civil rights movement. Martin Luther King, Jr., a young Baptist minister, rose to prominence in the 1950s as a spiritual leader of the burgeoning civil rights movement and president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SLCC).

By the early 1960s, African Americans had seen gains made through organized campaigns that placed its participants in harm’s way but also garnered attention for their plight. One such campaign, the 1961 Freedom Rides, resulted in vicious beatings for many participants, but resulted in the Interstate Commerce Commission ruling that ended the practice of segregation on buses and in stations.

The i Have a dream speech" I Have a Dream " is a public speech that was delivered by American civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963, in which he called for civil and economic rights and an end to racism in the United States
