This question is incomplete. Here is the complete question:

At what point in "The Nose" does the story shift from reality to fantasy?

1.when Major Kovalev enters the apartment building .

2.when Major Kovalev gets dressed in his pajamas  .

3.when Major Kovalev gets out of bed in the morning .

4.when Major Kovalev hurries down the street.

Answer:

The correct answer is option 3. When Major Kovalev gets out of bed in the morning .

Explanation:

In the story "The Nose" the moment a jump from reality to fantasy occurs is a morning when Major Kovalev wakes up and gets out of bed.

At this time he was doing the same thing every morning, but this time he asked for a mirror because he wanted to check a pimple that had come out the night before and it was there when he saw that he had no nose, but an absolutely flat surface.

Even after drinking water and pinching himself to make sure he was wide awake, he still had no nose.

That's when the shift from fantasy to reality occurs.

Let's examine Khias post.
kobusy [5.1K]

So I am assuming the first question has to do with the given post....?

Anyways, here is what I got, A short summary of the given post is the following: Khias, or whomever wrote it, found that listening to the speech without stopping it to examine it carefully and accurately, caused them to feel overwhelmed. They then listened to it again, this time stopping it and using the strategy of pausing to summarize it, and they then understood it more.

2. Evaluate the strength of those reasons and evidence: This is a good strategy, especially since they gave a claim, which was that they failed to understand a certain thing, and while they tried new things, they have come to understand it more. This is a strong strategy.

3. Was any irrelevant evidence used by Johnson? If so, what was the impact on you as the listener? I don't think so, she had a problem, and found a solution to it.

I cannot answer 4 and 5 because I think that requires you yourself, since I am not a part of your class, and I don't know your classmates. I hope this helps ~♡
