Original cost $18.50

20% off.

20% of 18.5 = (20/100)*18.5 = 0.2*18.5 = 3.7

So 3.7 needs to be taken off from 18.5

18.5 - 3.7 = 14.8

So the new sale price = $14.80

Since the sale tax is 6.75% =  6.75% of 14.80 = (6.75/100) * 14.8

                                                                               = 0.0675* 14.8 = 0.999
Sales tax ≈ 1.00

So final price = Sale price + Tax = $14.8 + $1.00 = $15.80

Hope this helps.

First you need to find how much 20% of $18.50 is. To do this, you need to multiply 18.50 by 20% which in decimal form is 0.2
$18.50x0.2=$3.70
Now you need to subtract $3.70 from $18.50
$18.50-$3.70=$14.80
Now that you have the new price, you need to find 6.75% of it to get the sales tax, so you multiply $14.80 by 6.75%, which is 0.0675 as a decimal.
$14.80x0.0675=$0.999 or $1
Now you add the sales tax to $14.80
$14.80+$1=$15.80 or $14.80+$0.999=$15.799

Water is flowing into a large spherical tank at a constant rate. Let V (t) be the volume of water in the tank at time t, and h(t
aleksley [76]

Answer:

See solutions for detail.

Step-by-step explanation:

a.  \frac{dV}{dt} is the instantaneous rate of change of volume given with respect to time, t.

The volume's rate of change is written as a function of time.

-\frac{dh}{dt} is the rate of change in the height of water in the tank with respect to time, t.

b.  \frac{dV}{dt}- is the only constant. Water flows into the constant at a constant rate, say 6cm^3 per minute.

c. \frac{dV}{dt} is positive. Volume water in the take  is increasing from time to time.

-The volume at time t=1 is greater than the volume at t=0, hence, it's a positive rate of change.

d. \frac{dh}{dt} is a positive rate. The initial height of water in the tank is zero.

-The final height at time t is 0.25h. The height is increasing with time.

Hence, it is positive.

The value of x will be equal to x = 79.

<h3>What is the triangle?</h3>

Triangle is a shape made of three sides in a two-dimensional plane. the sum of the three angles is 180 degrees.

For an isosceles triangle, the value of two opposite angles is equal and the opposite sides are also equal.

The Sum of the three angles is equal to 180 degrees so the third angle will be calculated as:-

Angle = 180 - 142 - 19 = 19

Now applying Lami's theorem in the triangle we will get the third side.

\dfrac{sin\angle A}{a} = \dfrac{sin\angle B}{b} = \dfrac{sin\angle C}{c}

\dfrac{Sin 19}{42}= \dfrac{Sin142}{x}

x = \dfrac{42\times Sin 142}{Sin19}

x = 79

Therefore the value of x will be equal to x = 79.

In ΔABC, the measure of ∠C=90°, BA = 41, CB = 40, and AC = 9. What ratio represents the cosine of ∠B?
blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

40/41

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given diagram;

BA is the hypotenuse = 41

AC is the opposite = 9

CB is the adjacent = 40

Cos<B = adjaccent/hyp

Cos<B = CB/BA

Cos<B = 40/41

Hence the required ratio is 40/41
