Answer:

48 centimetres wide

Step-by-step explanation:

you are at 3

you enlarge it and you get 6

second enlargement you get 12

third enlargement you get 24

fourth enlargement you get 48

if you times 3 by 4 you are not doubling the width each time you enlarge the photo

so it is easier to double it each time you enlarge it

Ans: 81 cm

work:

since the photo starts at 3 cm wide and the width gets doubled each time for four times, youd have to do 3^4.

in other words,
3 x 3 x 3 x 3

3x1 is 3,
3x3 is 9,
9x3 is 27,
27x3 is 81

Give a rule for finding the first of four consecutive integers if you know the sum of the four integers.
tankabanditka [31]

If we write the first integer as the variable n, all numbers that come after it can be written as n+1, n+2, etc.

so the sum of four consecutive integers is:

sum = n + (n+1) + (n+2) + (n+3)

if we simplify:

sum = 4n +6

and if we want to know what the first integer is, we can re-write the equation as:

\frac{sum-6}{4} = n

and that is your answer.

atroni [7]

Answer:

\%DVD = 14\%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Population = 900

Sample = 325 --- selected adults

Proportion = 45 --- those that prefer renting a movie

Required

Represent the proportion as a sample.

This is calculated as thus:

\%DVD = \frac{Proportion}{Sample} * 100\%

\%DVD = \frac{45}{325} * 100\%

\%DVD = \frac{45 * 100}{325}\%

\%DVD = \frac{45 00}{325}\%

\%DVD = 13.85\%

\%DVD = 14\% --- approximated

Is 0.4 less than greater than,or equal than to 44 percent
Llana [10]
To find this what you do is you take the percent and make it into a decimal by moving the decimal two spaces to the left so from 44% to 0.44 so in the end 0.4 is less then 44% because 44% is 0.44
