Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

Where f(x) and g(x) intersect on the x- axis the value of y is zero

Equate either of the 2 functions to 0 and solve for x

Using f(x) = 8x² - 2, then

8x² - 2 = 0 ( add 2 to both sides )

8x² = 2 ( divide both sides by 8 )

x² = \frac{2}{8} = \frac{1}{4}

Take the square root of both sides

x = ± \sqrt{\frac{1}{4} } = ± \frac{1}{2}

Hence k = \frac{1}{2} → B

(1) Write a note on advantage of using a solar cooker?
kherson [118]

Answer:

Adding 12 to the circle area is equal to the square area.

Or

s2 = 12 + A

Where

s = side of square

A = area of circle

So

s2 = 12 + 36

s2 = 48

Solve this for s to get the side length

If p(x) = 2x2 - 4x and g(x) = x - 3, what is (pog)(x)?
stira [4]

Answer:

<h2>2x² - 16x + 30</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

p(x) = 2x² - 4x

g(x) = x - 3

To find (pog)(x) replace every x in p(x) by g(x)

That's

(pog)(x) = 2(x - 3)² - 4(x - 3)

= 2( x² - 6x + 9) - 4x + 12

= 2x² - 12x + 18 - 4x + 12

<h3>= 2x² - 16x + 30</h3>

Hope this helps you

Please help me.
Bezzdna [24]

It would not because 3/4 of 20 is 15 so that would fit, but 3/4 of 16 is 12, so it would not fit there.
