Answer:

Depends on who you ask

but overall, yes

Explanation:

We do see sex differences in various settings, including the workplace—but those differences are not rooted in fixed gender traits. Very few adults say these gender gaps exist where they work. In most societies, being a man or a woman is not simply a matter of different biological and physical characteristics.

Answer: Yes they are treated differently.

Explanation: 1. Men are always called the stronger type, the more athletic type, but we never say that about women, Women are always objectified by their body, And everyone's saying oh a man can do this but a woman cant because she might be smaller or weaker or anything like that. I personally think that its sexist that women get treated differently than men, like what the heck, men aren't that much better than women you know, and it makes me mad when ever someone says something like that and anyway women are smarter than most men and more capable of doing things.

luda_lava [24]

Answer:

b. the current yield plus the rate of capital gains.

Explanation:

The rate of return is equal to the current yield plus the rate of capital gains. Rate of return on an investment is equal to the net gain or loss on that investment over a specified period of time compared to the initial investment cost and it is usually expressed in percentage. Thus the rate of return on a coupon is the current yield plus the rate of capital gains.

Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

selective optimization with compensation theory

Explanation:

This theory by Baltes(1990) in symbolic interaction perspective suggests that as individuals get older they seem to try to get the best results from the most little efforts. In other words, an older elderly person with physical limitations seeks to optimize his gains as much as possible while putting as much little effort as is possible(within his physical ability) to compensate for other losses or range of goals that may not have been accomplished.

How the Other Half Lives, Jacob Riis (1890).
FromTheMoon [43]

Answer:

- These works had significant influence on social, political, and economic reform.

Explanation:

As per the question, the given authors, as well as their texts, had a quite considerable impact on the social, economic, as well as the political realm of the American society. 'How the Other Half Lives' by Jacob Riis displayed the social evils like poverty, widening gap between the poor and rich, corruption, the terrible condition of the immigrants in slums of New York, etc. while 'The Jungle' authored by Upton Sinclair reveals the economic evil of 'wicked and destructive consequences of capitalism.'

In 'The Grapes of Wrath', Steinback discusses the 'condition of migrant workers and inhumanity faced by them' and 'Unsafe at Any Speed' comments upon the 'dangers of style-oriented behavior of American Automobile industry and ignorance of consumer safety act which makes people unsafe at every speed.' Thus, all four texts display significant issues prevalent in American society at the time.
