Answer:

On the military level, the war began badly for the Americans. The invasion of Canada resulted in a humiliating defeat, and British troops not only repelled the Americans, but persecuted them and came to occupy Washington D.C., burning the Capitol, the White House and other government buildings. Fortunately for them, the naval war was somewhat more successful, including some important victories.

Finally, the British were defeated at Lake Champlain and Fort McHenry, in Baltimore, whose survival after hard and long bombings enervated the national mood.

As positive consequences, we must mention the enormous impulse that gave the national spirit, and the strengthening of American nationalism. Figures such as Andrew Jackson rose to the category of heroes, and the values of American courage and patriotism took root among a proud population of their troops.

On the other hand, it can be said that the US begins to be seen as a new military power, with this Britain loses all hope of recovering its colonies and the rest of the nations see the birth of a new power.

Which best describes the main difference between the National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA) and the American Woman Suffrage
Phoenix [80]

-The NWSA worked for a constitutional amendment granting suffrage; the AWSA fought for suffrage at the state level.

The main difference between the National Association and the American Association is that the National Association held its annual conventions in Washington, D.C. and concentrated its efforts on the federal government, while the American Association held its conventions in several cities of the country, concentrating on state governments. The National Association had a centralized and unitary structure opposed to the stricter system of delegates of the American Association.

In your opinion, is taking the law into one's own hands
Svet_ta [14]
The simple answer to your complex question is NO. This is assuming that you live in a country where there are good laws (remember that history is full of bad governments that implemented bad laws) and that law enforcement is effective. Simplisticly, you should only ask yourself this question when your or your families life is being threatened and law enforcement is not around. Your response must still be within the constraints of your laws or you will find yourself in hot water. I'm not even going to try to discuss the ethics and morals that can apply as the situation can vary immensely. Keep it simple - don't operate outside the law, rather fight against unjust laws.

Compare and contrast Western attitudes about aging and non-Western attitudes. What can we learn from cultures that are different
shusha [124]
In the western society we seem to avoid the cost of aging at any price. Many women and men spend billions in the beauty industry trying to look younger. Many have put a degradable image on aging, that by doing so makes one useless in contributing to society. This view of growing oldis a thing of the past many elderly are living a vibrant life, working, in relationships and living life to the fullest. It is noted in the non-Western cultures the elderly is a very important part of any family’s life. Even in the ancient Roman times they were viewed as wise and reverence with awe, which conducted potential marriage, political advice and other political decisions. We can learn from other cultures that the elderly are individuals that can teach its younger generation how to possible avoid hardship and problems while being a vital part of the family’s historical history.
