A way citizens can directly influence the public policy is by following it or not. If there is a policy that no one agrees with, they will not follow it and show that the policy is wrong. When this is done, the policy will go away. That is how citizens can directly change this.

Which of the following statements describes how French artist Jacques-Louis David used a Neoclassical characteristic in Oath of
Westkost [7]
I believe the correct answer is the final option - He used a background of simple Classical columns and arches that don't detract from the figures.
If you take a look at the painting, you will see that you cannot learn much about history because you don't know what is going on, so A is incorrect. B is also incorrect because the colors don't detract from the story. C is incorrect because we don't know if that is true. D is the correct answer because you can see in the painting that the columns are in the background, just to provide a nice view.

In the study of history what is one major difference between a region and a period
kondor19780726 [428]

Quite simple: a region is the geographical zone where people lived and/or particular events took place. A period is the chronological segment of linear history (timeline) where such people lived and/or the event took place. For example, the Crusades took place in the Middle East while the period is the Middle Ages.
