James believes the honor roll students at his school have an unfair advantage in being assigned to the math class they request.

He asked 500 students at his school the following questions: "Are you on the honor roll?" and "Did you get the math class you requested?" The results are shown in the table below.
Honor roll Not on honor roll Total
Received math class requested 315 64 379
Did not get math class requested 41 80 121
Total 356 144 500

Help James determine if all students at his school have an equal opportunity to get the math class they requested. Show your work and explain your process for determining the fairness of the class assignment process.

315/356 = about 0.88 or 88%. <span>
64/144= about .044 or 44%

</span><span>They will not have equal opportunity to get the math class they requested, if both percents were equal, it would be fair. For honors students, 88% of them will get the class they requested, but for non honors students it's 44%.</span>

-3(-5)-3y=-6 find the value of y
julia-pushkina [17]

-3 (-5) - 3y = -6

15 - 3y = -6

-3y = -6 + (-15)

-3y = -21

y = -21 / -3

y = 7

The value of y is 7.

A six-sided number cube labeled 1 through 6 is rolled 500 times. An odd number is rolled 325 times. Compare the experimental pro
Komok [63]
The actual probability of having odd is 3/6=1/2
so no of odds theoretically is 250

but it is 325
so, experimental is higher than theoretical
so answer is B !
and you can go for that !

Tell whether the table of values represents a linear function, an exponential function, or a quadratic funtion
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

if it is linear then it will be a straight line(gradient is the same)

if quadratic then curve(gradeint isnt the same)

y=mx+c

m=[y(2)-y(1)]/[x(2)-x(1)]

you can choose any 2 points from the table

m=2-0.4/0-1

m=-1.6

repeat but 2 different coordinates

m=0.4-0.08/-1--2==>-2.24

m=-2.24

different coordinate therefore quadratic

cant be exponential, because nothing is being raised to some power
