Identify three opinions stated in the Gettysburg Address and state whether or not each opinion is substantiated. For each opinio
elena55 [62]

Hello there!

One of Lincoln's opinions is that USA is a nation founded on the idea that all men are created equal and that there is no difference. Even though this is in the Declaration of Independence, it can be argued that this is not true since America still has slavery.

In addition, he believes that the government by the people will continue on. This statement, at the time, is supported by the fact that the Union is doing everything they can to preserve and keep the nation.  :)

Finally, another opinion by Lincoln in this speech is that the world will not remember what is said at Gettysburg. Nowadays, this is not true, because it is one of the most studied speeches in the history of America.

Hope this helps!

What impact did the novel Watson’s go to Birmingham have on you as a reader? Would you recommend this novel to a friend? Support
erastovalidia [21]

The most important theme in the novel Watson's go to Birminham is the family  unit and the fiendship. They're a family first, and they tackle the world as unit. They love each other, hate each other, irritate each other, and try to understand each other. When the conflict in The Watsons Go to Birmingham—1963 finally reaches critical mass (i.e., Byron's trouble-making has gone too far), the Watsons turn to their extended family for help. While at times it might seem like the Watsons don't get along at all, underneath all the bickering and bullying and tattling, the love this family has for each other saves more than one of them in the end. I do recommend this novel to a friend.

Quote about friendship:

This guy was real desperate for a friend because even though I wouldn't say much back to him he kept jabbering away at me all through class.
