It is, in fact, the psychological tendency of the group members towards the consent of all, where the usual solution is non-functional and often irrational.

That is why every time, in this case, the employee offers some solution for promotion of the advertising of the company, the proposal is ignored by the advertising team because that proposal differs from the plan which the boss has outlined in advance. So, in order for the advertising team to remain aligned with the boss, every other proposal that is even better in some parts is rejected for the sake of compromise.

The population of its prey would decrease. It would take up space in the ecosystem, that other organisms probably need. It would eat up the plants if it is not a carnivore, which is probably eaten by other organisms as well. so that plant population would also decrease.
