Answer:

well its weird to say but honestly it lead to the early victories because of the belief that they were the best plus it lead to a unification of germany.

a counter argument would be that it was the down fall of germany because they became to cocky leading to the war on both fronts which ultimatly defeated them, but honestly it was only hitler that thought he could continue to take russia in winter leading to the down fall.

MY ANSWER

so i would say that the totalotarian state was the cause of early victories not defeat.

Well Germany's fascist state led to them becoming a force to be reckon with. After the First World War Germany was massive punished and Hitler managed to reverse this effect on Germany. He built its well known autobahn and re armed the country and even took over parts of Europe that belong to Germany before the war. Hitlers idea of the state being over the people was why Germany was a force to beckon with. He filled the people with the ideology of ethnonationalism where Germany belongs to Germans only. As we saw his country prosper better than any other European country at that time. The self pride in their country help fueled their victories in the beginning. Before the war started Hitler had already United what most of former Germany.

How did Germany respond to the Treaty of Versailles?
ipn [44]
The Germans reacted to the Treaty of Versailles with horror and outrage.

Feelings of injustice: The German leaders did not feel that they alone had caused the war. They felt that they should have been involved in treaty negotiations.
Reparations: Many Germans felt that these were unfair and that Germany could not afford to pay as its economy had been crippled by the cost of fighting the First World War.
Loss of territory: The loss of territory was deeply resented by the German people. Some Germans were now living in countries ruled by foreign governments. The Saar, an important industrial area, was now controlled by the League of Nations but had effectively been taken over by France.
The League of Nations: Germany felt further insulted by not being invited to join the League of Nations.
Military terms: The Germans felt that an army of 100,000 was too small for a country of Germany's size. The army was a symbol of Germany's pride.
War guilt cause: The Germans did not believe that they alone were responsible for the outbreak of the First World War.

Hope this helped!

The change in setting was made aiming to cause a sense of urgency in Americans, if a threat, like an alien invasion, is happening in another country far away, it does not seem too scary, but it becomes much more scary to the audience if that threat is happening where they live.

Therefore, the answer is
