Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

So problem 1 is actually pretty easy, once you know how to do it. So it gives you 3 different functions in 3 different forms and says pick the one with the steepest slope, right?

Okay, so for the f(x)= -5/3 (3)^x problem, just plug in values for x. I would suggest making a t chart like function 2. So plug in the following numbers and  compute:

x=0             f(x)= ?

x=1              f(x)= ?

x=2             f(x)= ?

x=3             f(x)= ?

x=4             f(x)= ?

x=5             f(x)= ?

Then, for function 3, write down the values for y when x is the numbers listed above. Or, you can simply calculate slope.

For the charts, you now have 5 sets of ordered pairs which you can calculate the slope with...

In function 1, it should be -5/3, but let me know what you get cause I'm just guessing on that one. Make sure to calculate the slope on all 3 functions!!

So in problem 2, you need to find out how to write out a function given the info- I don't feel like typing all that out, so what I would suggest is looking up how to write functions in you tube and watch a few videos.

Hope this helps, make sure to go to bed soon.

How many samples of size 5 are possible when selecting from a set of 10 distinct integers if the sampling is done with replaceme
igomit [66]

Answer:

100000 ways

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that there are 10 distinct integers.

5 numbers are drawn with replacement

Prob that each number is drawn will have 10 choices

So each of 5 number can be selected in 10 ways

No of ways  to select 5 numbers with replacement

= 10^5

=100000 ways

Match each spherical volume to the largest cross sectional area of that sphere
zlopas [31]

Answer:

Part 1) 324\pi\ units^{2} ------> 7,776\pi\ units^{3}

Part 2) 36\pi\ units^{2} ------> 288\pi\ units^{3}

Part 3) 81\pi\ units^{2} ------> 972\pi\ units^{3}

Part 4) 144\pi\ units^{2} ------> 2,304\pi\ units^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The largest cross sectional area of that sphere is equal to the area of a circle with the same radius of the sphere

Part 1) we have

A=324\pi\ units^{2}

The area of the circle is equal to

A=\pi r^{2}

so

324\pi=\pi r^{2}

Solve for r

r^{2}=324

r=18\ units

Find the volume of the sphere

The volume of the sphere is

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

For r=18\ units

substitute

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi (18)^{3}

V=7,776\pi\ units^{3}

Part 2) we have

A=36\pi\ units^{2}

The area of the circle is equal to

A=\pi r^{2}

so

36\pi=\pi r^{2}

Solve for r

r^{2}=36

r=6\ units

Find the volume of the sphere

The volume of the sphere is

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

For r=6\ units

substitute

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi (6)^{3}

V=288\pi\ units^{3}

Part 3) we have

A=81\pi\ units^{2}

The area of the circle is equal to

A=\pi r^{2}

so

81\pi=\pi r^{2}

Solve for r

r^{2}=81

r=9\ units

Find the volume of the sphere

The volume of the sphere is

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

For r=9\ units

substitute

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi (9)^{3}

V=972\pi\ units^{3}

Part 4) we have

A=144\pi\ units^{2}

The area of the circle is equal to

A=\pi r^{2}

so

144\pi=\pi r^{2}

Solve for r

r^{2}=144

r=12\ units

Find the volume of the sphere

The volume of the sphere is

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

For r=12\ units

substitute

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi (12)^{3}

V=2,304\pi\ units^{3}

1. A. Add 6 to both sides to solve.

2. D. If you simplify the a terms you will get 6 = 7 which is never true.

3. A. Subtract 1.2m from both sides and then divide to solve.

4. B. If you simplify you get 7 = 7 which is always true.

5. D. Distribute the 2 and then add the 24 to both sides. Then divide to solve.

6. A. Simplify the right side and then divide all by two. Then add 16 to both sides and divide by 4.
