A situation could be for example if you wanted to buy a large amount of {something} and you had $135. To find out how many you would be able to buy, you would solve the equation.

15x = 135 \\ \frac{15x}{15} = \frac{135}{15} \\ x = 9

So 9 would be the amount of {something} that you could buy.

Fofino [41]

Here the points are(-3,-1) and (5,-1)

To find the average rate of change, we have to use the following formula .

\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

Here x1 =-3, y1=-1, x2=5,y2=-1

So we get

Average rate of change=

\frac{-1+1}{5+3} = 0

So the average rate of change from x=-3 to x=5 is 0

Find the difference. Write your answer in simplest form.<br><br> 1 1/6 - 1/2
vodomira [7]

Answer:

2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

1 1/6 - 1/2

Get a common denominator of 6

1 1/6 - 1/2*3/3

1 1/6 - 3/6

Borrow 1 from the 1 in the form of 6/6

6/6 + 1/6 - 3/6

7/6 - 3/6

Please help!! <br> Solving Surface area problems
nadezda [96]

Answer:

84.8 sq in

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the top and bottom are each 1/2(3.7 x 4) = 7.4, so they total 14.8

2 of the sides are 5 x 5 = 25, so they total 50

1 side is 5 x 4 = 20

14.8 + 50 + 20 = 84.8 sq in

The lenght of a turtles shell z, in millimeters, is related to the turtles age in years a , as described by the equation below.
puteri [66]

Answer:

B, C , F

Step-by-step explanation:

The age multiplied 55, so the shell grows at rate of 55mm per year

in fact if the age is 2 we have (55 x 2) = 55 + 55

if 3 = (55 x 3) = 55 + 55 + 55

and so on

When the turtle is hatched the shell is 37 mm in lenght.

In fact, if we substitute 0 to a, we have

s = (55 x 0) + 37

s = 37

when the turtle is 1 year old, the shell is 92 mm in length.

in fact if we substitu a with 1, we have

s = (55 x 1) + 37

s = 55 + 37

s = 92
