The answer is A. AMINO ACIDS because when you have a chain of amino acids then they go through multiple stages to become proteins. amino acids line up in single polypeptide chains and have a Alpha Helix sheet and a beta pleated sheet. The Alpha Helix sheet and the Beta Pleated sheet are still in tact when the polypeptide folds in on itself. The way these polypeptides stay folded together is by hydrogen and ionic bonds and sometimes the polypeptides might even have covalent bonds. This folding occurs through side chains ( R- Groups) with a combination of many polypeptide chains. This later forms a single functional protein complex.

What affects algal growth with increasing depth in the ocean?
andrew-mc [135]
The answer is light.

One of the factors that affect photosynthesis is light. Without light, the photosynthetic rate is reduced or even stopped which consequently affect algal growth. With increasing depth in the ocean, there is less sunlight present. Still, algae have accessory photosynthetic plastids other than the chloroplasts that can absorb different light in greater ocean depths. This helps them to maximum use sunlight in such conditions. But, in the end, at some particular depth, they would not be able to survive.
