Answer:r<4/7

Step-by-step explanation:

35r-21<-35r+19

Collect like terms

35r+35r<21+19

70r<40

divide both sides by 70

70r/70<40/70

r<40/70

r<4/7

Help and please explain
katrin2010 [14]

alright so you need to find the unit rate for both of these bought items.

5.25(5 1/4) pounds is equal to $2.10 if you set it into an equation

5.25x = $2.10

x represents how much is the price for one pound of banana

to find x you divide $2.10 by 5.25

you can either plug that into a calculator (.4 is the answer)

to divide a fraction

2.10 / 1 ÷ 21/4

switch the 21/4

2.10/1 ÷ 4/21

instead of using division to solve this you actually multiply!(don't ask me why)

2.10 × 4 = 8.4

21 × 1 = 21

now divide 8.4 by 21 = $0.4 for each pound of bananas

do the same on the other persons payment

3.25x = 6.5

x = 0.5

now you answer it. which one is cheaper?

Find the slope-intercept form of an equation for the line that passes through (–1, 2) and is parallel to y = 2x – 3.
sukhopar [10]

Answer:

Option d is the correct answer

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope-intercept form of an equation for a line passing through given points can be represented as

y = mx + c

Where

Slope, m = (change in value of y on the vertical axis) / (change in value of x on the horizontal axis)

c = y-intercept

We want to find the slope-intercept form of an equation for the line that passes through (–1, 2) and is parallel to y = 2x – 3

For two lines to be parallel to each other, the slopes must be equal.

For y = 2x – 3

Slope,m = 2 (comparing with the slope intercept form stated above).

This means that the slope of the line

that passes through (–1, 2) is also 2

To find the y-intercept, c of this equation,

2 = 2 × - 1 + c

2 = -2 + c

c = 2+2 = 4

The equation is

y = 2x + 4
