It's slightly ambiguous because the year isn't an even number of weeks, so sometimes that extra day falls on a weekend and sometimes on a weekday.  We'll assume a weekend; that makes the numbers come out nice.

Total working days, 52 five day weeks minus 30 days vacation

d = 52 \times 5 - 30 = 230

So his daily rate is

119600/230 = 520  dollars per day

Answer: A

It's closer to $518 when we count the extra day as a weekday.

Members of a softball team raised $1319.25 to go to a tournament. They rented a bus
harina [27]

Answer:

13 players

Step-by-step explanation:

Money Raised=RentedBus+Meals

1319.25=776.50+41.75p (p is for the number of players)(Now we solve for x)

Subtract 776.50 from both sides:   542.75=41.75x

Divide both sides by 41.75:   13=x

Remember that x is for the number of players so there'll be 13 players going to the tournament.

Divide x^3-3x^2-10x+24 by x-2
melisa1 [442]
You can do this using synthetic division, which is the easiest way.  If x - 2 = 0, then x = 2.  That 2 will go outside the "box" and the leading coefficients of the terms in the polynomial will go inside the "box".  2    (1   -3    -10    24).  Bring down the first number, the 1.  Multiply that 1 by the 2 to get 2.  Put that 2 up under the -3 and add to get -1.  Multiply that -1 by the 2 to get -2.  Put that =-2 up under the -10 and add to get -12.  Multiply that -12 by the 2 to get -24.  Put the -24 up under the 24 and add to get 0.  That means that x - 2 is a factor of the polynomial.  What's left, the bolded numbers, are the coefficients of a new polynomial that is one degree less than the polynomial you started with.  In other words, when we divide your polynomial by x-2, you get x^2-x-12.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

11.

to find floor area:

= 8 x 8

= 64

= Floor is 64m.

to find carpet: 8 x 8 x 75%

= 64 x 75%

= 64 x 0.75

= 48

a. The dimensions of the carpet are probably 8 by 8.

b. The area of the floor not covered by carpet is 64, hence 8 x 8.

12.

A perfect square is a square that has demensions that is a number multiplied by itself.

Eight times eight fits the requirements, so this square is in fact perfect.

Have a lovely day!
