At the end of a snow storm, Caroline saw there was a lot of snow on her front lawn. The temperature increased and the snow began

to melt at a steady rate. The depth of snow on Caroline's lawn, in inches, can be modeled by the function S(t)=-0.75t+15,S(t)=−0.75t+15, where tt is the time, in hours, after the snow stopped falling. What is the slope of the function and what is its interpretation in the context of the problem?

Can someone please help me with this ASAP‼️ Thank You

Let x = cost of the dishwasher.

The amounts the children are paying are:

Mark =20% = 1/5, so  1/5x

Sorin = 75

Raymond = 1/4x

Stephanie = 75

Kristin = 1/3x

Add them together:

x = 1/5x + 1/4x + 1/3x + 75 + 75

x - ( 1/5x + 1/4x + 1/3x ) = 150

Rewrite fractions with common denominator:

x - ( 12/60x + 15/60x + 20/60x ) = 150

60/60x - 47/60x = 150

13/60x = 150

x = 150/1 • 60/13

x = 9000/13

x = 692.31

The total cost of the dishwasher is $692.31

Now calculate the amount each child pays:

Mark = 1/5 x = 692.31/ 5 = $138.46

Sorin = $75.00

Raymond = 1/4 x = 692.31 / 4 = $173.08

Stephanie = $75.00

Kristin =  1/3 x = 692.31 / 3 = $230.77

fred is playing tennis fo every 2 of his serves that land in 4 serves land out if he hit 26 serves in how many serves landed out
ki77a [65]

Answer:

52 serves landed out

Explanation:

If you divide the number of serves in by 2 ( number that he lands in for every 6 serves) and then multiply by 4 ( number that land out for every 6 serves), you get 52 serves out.

A is inversely proportional to b. If a=7.2 when b=-4, what will a equal when b=6?
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

<h2>a = - 4.8</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the value of a when b=6 we must first find the relationship between them.

The statement

a is inversely proportional to b is written as

a \:  \:  \alpha  \:  \:  \frac{k}{b}

where k is the constant of proportionality

When a = 7.2 , b = -4

So we have

7.2=  \frac{k}{ - 4}

k = 7.2 × - 4

k = - 28.8

So the formula for the variation is

a =  -  \frac{28.8}{b}

When

b = 6

That's

a =  -  \frac{28.8}{6}

We have the final answer as

<h3>a = - 4.8</h3>

Hope this helps you
