Many molecules are moved through out the body by PROTEINS.
Proteins carry out several functions in the body. They serve as enzymes, they are involved in production of hormones, they produce energy, they form antibodies and they are involved in transportation of molecules round the body. The proteins that are involved in transportation are called carrier proteins. Carrier proteins facilitate the transportation of diverse particles via the plasma membrane into the inside of the cells.

The answer to this question would be: protein.

The membrane of cells wasn't permeable to many kinds of molecules. That is why there are some canal and channel that make the transport of those molecules possible, even with a higher gradient of concentration. The canal and channel itself made by protein.

What determines if a mutation is passed on within a population
Sophie [7]
Reproduction rate and population size helps determine how fast the mutation is passed within a population. Also if it is favorable to species it helps determine if it is passed and unfavorable mutations tend to die off. Think about for example if one species has a favorable environment gene then it's going to have a higher chance or survival and reproduction than the other species. Also genes help determine if mutation is passed on.

How do contractile vacuoles help maintain water balance?
lesya692 [45]

Answer:

The contractile vacuole acts as part of a protective mechanism that prevents the cell from absorbing too much water and possibly lysing (rupturing) through excessive internal pressure. The contractile vacuole, as its name suggests, expels water out of the cell by contracting.

Hope this helps
