Answer:

The speaker is lamenting in the passage above for:

b. a lack of true fulfillment in his life

Explanation:

In the above lines, the speaker says that a king or a figure of authority cannot gain anything if he sits with his wife and enjoys the warmth of the fire. In reality, he has to be present among the common people. It is because of the lack of the king's authority that his subjects become less dedicated to their work. They waste their life by eating and sleeping. This ultimately is a loss of the king and this means that the life of the King has been left unfulfilled.

Answer:

b. a lack of true fulfillment in his life

Explanation:

The poem is a monologue spoken by him, where he not only expresses his discontent, but also describes his desire to keep sailing. He's getting older and doesn't have a lot of time left, so he wants to get busy living rather than busy dying.

Write a well-formed paragraph that summarizes the central ideas found in the excerpt from Emerson’s essay Nature. Your paragraph
saul85 [17]
Emerson obviously reveres nature and believes that one should maintain a sense of awe and wonder that children have in appreciating natural beauty. Also he states that nature does not display a mean appearance for example in such things as glorious sunsets ore even in menacing natural phenomena like erupting volcanoes at night time the pyroclastics cascading down the slopes of the volcano are beautiful. He speaks of the "integrity of impression made by manifold natural objects" and this is reminiscent of Alexander Von Humboldt when he and his partner Bonpland the botanist first arrived in what became known as Venezuela they were both drunk by the myriad wonderful aspects of the lush vegetation in all its tropical splendor. Emerson said "a wild delight runs through the man in spite of sorrows" at the sight of nature and that is what Humboldt and Bonpland experienced especially since they were natural scientists so could appreciate the natural environment much more.

Which statement implies that parents are harming their children by NOT vaccinating them?
Vladimir [108]

The correct answer is A. The diseases we immunize against are not gone and they are still deadly. These diseases still exist in many places in the world. Polio was eliminated from the United States thanks to vaccination, it still occurs in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria, being a serious problem there. If we do not get vaccinated this type of disease can return to the country.
