Argument all you want - the 2A has been upheld as a Right for 'the People' twice by the US Supreme Court.

Each state has it's own viewpoint on how to implement gun regulation. 

"Guns don't kill people. People using guns kill people. TRUE - guns are tools. 

Guns are only safe when they are locked up at all times and are not in use. FALSE - a gun is an inanimate chunk of metal and has no volition of it's own. 

Gun ownership increases the lethality of attempted suicides. TRUE - but irrelevant...a suicide will use whatever method necessary. 

Gun ownership makes gun owners more violent. FALSE - in the US there are over 300 million guns owned by private citizens; 99+% of them never harm anyone.
