The human cost of European colonies and exploitations were many, but the main ones were genocide against indigenous people and the cruel process of enslavement of black people.

When the Europeans arrived in the Americas, they took doeças that decimated indigenous tribes. In other cases, direct conflicts between Europeans and Indians also decimated the Indians. After the colonization process was completed, the process of exploring the colonies began. This process essentially employed slave labor imported from Africa.

In short, the human cost of colonization and exploitation is immeasurable, for in addition to thousands of deaths, it has definitely affected the cultures of local Indians and black people.

Youth turnout was very high in 1972, the first general election in which the amendment was in effect, but declined afterward, hitting a low of 36% in 1988. In general, the youth vote has only turned out at a high rate when issues of particular concern to youth are central to the nation's agenda. The two highest turnouts of young voters on record occurred in 1972, when the Vietnam War and the draft were very much of concern to young voters, and 2008, when young voters enthusiastically turned out to elect the nation's first African American president.

Oksana_A [137]
