Renaissance art focused more in humans and their experiences, as we could see in the different sculptures from Michelangelo, that was inspired by the human body. It focused too, in portraying the catholic church as a powerful entity due to its various religious paintings; the most popular being the ceiling of the Sistine chapel and the various representations of the Virgin Mary. Finally, it focused in creating a perspective to make two dimensional work appear three dimensional; the most popular being the Mona Lisa, where it shows a woman as the main character but if you start detailing the painting and it background you start seeing the surroundings and start feeling that the paint is in three dimensions.
