Stem cells have the ability to replace damaged cells and treat disease. ... Stem cells, if they can be directed to differentiate into specific cell types, offer the possibility of a renewable source of replacement cells and tissues to treat diseases including Parkinson's, stroke, heart disease and diabetes.

Answer: Embryonic stem cells. These stem cells come from embryos that are three to five days old. At this stage, an embryo is called a blastocyst and has about 150 cells. These are pluripotent (ploo-RIP-uh-tunt) stem cells, meaning they can divide into more stem cells or can become any type of cell in the body.

The volume of a sphere increases with the cube of its radius. If the radius of a sphere increases from 2cm to 6cm, by what facto
lbvjy [14]

Answer;

volume increases with a factor of 27

Explanation;

The volume of a sphere is given by the formula

V = 4/3 πr³

When the radius is 2 cm the volume will be;

V = 4/3 π (2)³

 = 32/3 π

When the increases to 6 cm the volume will be ;

V = 4/3 π (6)³

 = 864/3 π

Hence, the volume increases by a factor;

(864/3 π) ÷ (32/3 π)

= 27

Thus, the volume increases with a factor 27

saveliy_v [14]
Hey :)

Strenuous exercise has caused her body to be in oxygen debt, and she is breathing hard while lactate is transported to the liver. This is a result of anaerobic respiration.

Hopefully this helped and good luck!!!

What process do the animals (and plants) in the
rainforest use oxygen for?
KiRa [710]

Answer:

Animals and plants use oxygen for processing cellular respiration.

Explanation:

Most of all organisms use oxygen to undergo cellular respiration with the help of the mitochondria that powers energy. Cellular respiration is needed to obtain energy for survival. As products of cellular respiration, ATP energy is created, and carbon dioxide + water is released from the organism. Thus, an ecosystem like a rainforest with animals and plants use oxygen for processing cellular respiration.
